Skilla Baby, JP + More Shut Down Howard University for 1st Stop of 2024 DTLR HBCU Tour

Stop number 1 of the 2024 DTLR HBCU Welcome Back tour is in the books! What an incredible way to kick off this year’s journey. Howard University showed up and showed out like they always do.
The day got started around 2pm on August 20th as the Howard Students invaded the courtyard outside of Crampton Hall. We had a ton of activations set up for the kids including a giveaway station, our McDonald’s lounge, a full gaming set up with NCAA ’25, a tote bag customization station, vendor row courtesy of the students and much more. Our sponsors this year were Nike, Jordan, McDonald’s, Ethika and the US Army.
Students were on campus enjoying themselves for hours leading up to the main event – the Skilla Baby-headlined concert taking place in the auditorium. Once 5pm hit, the movie began.
We had a boatload of amazing performances from the likes of Skilla Baby, JP, Lehla Samia, Skylar Blatt, Noodah, and more. We also had a surprise appearance from NYC’s own Capella Grey. The Bison students were ecstatic from start to finish; our hosts Kyle On The Mic and Fadam Got Da Juice were on fire.
This was an incredible way to kick off Back To School season. Stop number 2 will be at Morgan State later this week!
