Tonight is GRAMMY night and the celebrations are already in order. During the pre-show, the beloved Viola Davis won Best Audio Book, Narration & Storytelling Recording for her memoir Finding Me. This GRAMMY win completes her EGOT cycle.
“Oh my God! I wrote this book to honor the 6-year-old Viola, to honor her life, her joy, her trauma, everything,” Davis proclaimed as she accepted the award. “And it has just been such a journey. I just EGOT!”
For those unaware, the EGOT cycle is when you win an Emmy, Grammy, Oscar and a Tony — the 4 major entertainment awards. Viola now joins the short list of Whoopi Goldberg, John Legend, Jennifer Hudson and just a handful others.
