DaBaby gave a powerful performance during the MTV 2020 VMAs bringing awareness to police brutality. Joined by the popular dance group Jabberwockeez, DaBaby performed from on top of a police car. According to MTV, DaBaby’s “performance spoke to the cultural moment, particularly in the wake of national uprisings in response to the deaths of unarmed Black citizens George Floyd, Breonna Taylor, and many others,”.
