Who’s ready for a mega-documentary about Kanye West?
Billboard announces that a multi-part documentary series featuring some never-before-seen footage of Kanye will be on Netflix some time in 2021. The network purchased this documentary for roughly $30 million. The producers and creators of this documentary are Clarence “Coodie” Simmons & Chike Ozah, who are best known for shooting Kanye’s infamous “Through The Wire” back in the day.
With this being 20+ years in the making, footage will date all the way back to the late 90s up until present time. It’ll touch on everything from Ye’s early days with Roc-A-Fella, the tragic death of his mother, his groundbreaking work in the fashion world, and even his 2020 Presidential campaign. I’m sure we’ll be seeing some interesting things and likely finding out more about Kanye then we may have known before.
No word on exact release dates, but it is expected to be out this year. We’ll keep you updated as we get more information.
