The 2024/2025 NFL season has officially come to an end. The Philadelphia Eagles defeated the Kansas City Chiefs by a whopping 40-22 last night (2/9). The game itself left much to be desired, however, the halftime show from Kendrick Lamar was an amazing performance. Especially for hip-hop and the culture!
Taking over the Superdome, Kendrick brought the west coast energy in full force. Performing multiple songs from his recent album GNX, as well as some of his cult classics like “DNA”, and “Humble”, K. Dot didn’t disappoint one bit. SZA joined the stage for “luther” and their Black Panther collab “All The Stars.” Legendary actor Samuel L. Jackson was also a part of the performance as he took on the role of “Uncle Sam” in what was certainly a symbolic and message-filled performance from Dot. Of course, as expected, Kendrick gave us a rendition of “Not Like Us” which had the crowd going crazy. Especially when that line dropped.
