DTLR Links Up With Cast Members From ‘The Wire’ To Celebrate New Merch Line From Hit Series

Almost 20 years after its initial release, HBO’s “The Wire” is not only critically acclaimed, but still relevant in today’s culture. So much so, that the team behind the hit show has just released a brand new (and quite impressive) merch line that fans of the show are certainly going to want to get.

Always being part of what’s hot and what’s culturally relevant, DTLR, alongside our friends at Shoe Palace, have some of this merch exclusively available both online and in our stores right now. 

To hype up the campaign even more, we called upon some of the cast members to be a part of the content shoot: Tray “Poot” Chaney; Anwar “Slim Charles” Glover; Mack Wilds, who famously played Michael Lee in season 4; and lastly Hassan “Wee-Bey” Johnson. Those 4 came down to Baltimore for an in-depth interview and a photoshoot together showcasing the new merch.

Each cast member spoke about the importance of the show and what it did for their lives and careers. They spoke about their favorite moments from the series and what they learned from it / how they apply it to today. Of course they broke down the new merch and made it evident why each piece is a must-cop. Most importantly, we got to learn more about some of our favorite characters from one of the best television series’ of all time.
