Voletta Wallace, The Notorious B.I.G.’s Mother, Sadly Passes Away at 78

The mother of the legendary Notorious B.I.G., Ms. Voletta Wallace, has sadly passed away. She was 72 and died of natural causes according to a report from TMZ.
Voletta played an essential role in managing and maintaining Biggie’s estate following his death in 1997. TMZ says when the estate was first created, it was worth roughly $10 million. Today it’s estimated to be worth close to $160 million. She penned a memoir in 2005 titled “Biggie: Voletta Wallace Remembers Her Son, Christopher Wallace, aka Notorious B.I.G.” Then in 2009 she was one of the main producers for the popular biopic “Notorious”.
Since then, Voletta kept his name alive in an honorable and memorable way. Safe to say hip-hop will never forget the iconic Biggie Smalls.
