Drake has once again made Billboard chart history. The superstar becomes the first artist ever to secure 9 of the top 10 spots on this week’s Hot 100. All of the songs are from his latest album, the number 1 charting Certified Lover Boy.
Adding to the feat, Drizzy also owns the entire top five to himself. This was only previously achieved by The Beatles for a week in 1964.
The only non-Drake song on the top 10 is Justin Bieber and The Kid Laroi’s “Stay.” Also, it’s important to note that the rest of Drake’s CLB album also landed on the Hot 100. Here’s the top 10 and the numbers they did first week.
No. 1, “Way 2 Sexy,” feat. Future & Young Thug (67.3 million streams, 7.7 million in airplay audience, 7,000 sold)
The song’s streaming sum marks the second-best in a single week in 2021, trailing only the opening frame of Olivia Rodrigo’s “Drivers License” (76.1 million, Jan. 23); “Sexy” is also being promoted as a radio single to pop, rhythmic and R&B/hip-hop formats.
No. 2, “Girls Want Girls,” feat. Lil Baby (57.4 million streams, 1.5 million in airplay audience, 3,000 sold
