IS POP SMOKE ON PRINCE’S LEVEL MUSICALLY??

Written by on March 23, 2021

According to sources Pop Smoke ties with Prince for “Second Longest No. 1” on R&B/Rap charts via Billboard.

New York rapper Pop Smoke shares space with “The Artist Formerly Known As Prince” on the Billboard charts. “Shoot For The Stars Aim For The Moon” has spent 19 consecutive weeks in the No. 1 spot. His posthumous album now ties with Prince’s “Purple Rain” on the Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums chart.

The album release in July 2020, where many celebrated his life by making numerous cuts on the project platinum through streams, airplay and more. Quavo did the honors of representing him by dedication on the 2020 BET Awards, where he also won Best New Hip-Hop Artist.

The artist in his posthumous state has since dropped new music for us to enjoy and continue the celebration. “For the Night” and “The Woo” has since been a few of our most played records but I insist that you check out two of my favorites that are currently in rotation and in the mixshow on “Pretty Girl Radio”, Fashion ft Polo G and AP!!!
