Two Suspects in Young Dolph’s Murder Case Arrested
Written by Jay Holz on January 12, 2022
At the end of 2021, the hip-hop world mourned the tragic loss of Memphis star Young Dolph. There’s been a ton of speculation about who was involved and how this all went down ever since.
Well, it appears we’re getting closer to justice. ABC News reports that, “Justin Johnson, 23, was captured on Tuesday (1/11) afternoon, the U.S. Marshals Service said.” This was “nearly a week after law enforcement announced he was wanted by police in connection with a number of alleged charges, including first-degree murder, criminal attempted first-degree murder and property theft.”
The report goes on to say:
“A second suspect, named Cornelius Smith, was indicted by a grand jury on Tuesday on first-degree murder charges in the shooting, said Shelby County District Attorney General Amy Weirich, reports ABC News. Smith was extradited to Tennessee from Mississippi, where he was arrested in connection with the theft of the white Mercedes Benz seen in surveillance footage of the shooting, according to the report.”
While finding these men guilty won’t bring back Dolph and won’t change the terrible tragedy that took place, hopefully it’ll at least provide some sort of closure for his close friends and family. We’ll continue to keep you posted as this story develops.
RIP Dolph!
