Iman Shumpert Becomes First NBA Player To Win ‘Dancing With The Stars’

Written by on November 23, 2021

Congratulations are in order for NBA star Iman Shumpert. The multi-faceted entertainer has just become the first NBA player ever to win the beloved competition show Dancing With The Stars along with his partner Daniella Karagach.

After winning last night (11/22)’s show, Iman was a bit emotional as he accepted the award. “I apologize for being a little bit emotional,” he said, adding that his mom had tested positive for Covid-19 so she couldn’t be there to see his win. “I hope Chicago’s watching this!”

Shump beat out Jojo Siwa and pro Jenna Johnson, who took home second place. They also made history themselves by being the first same-sex couple on the show.

Iman happens to be a friend to the DTLR family as well. We recently hosted a Lit Lobby event with the star and got to know more about him.

Congrats to Shump! Check out some clips from last night’s finale below.
