Interview | Tameka Kee Talks ‘The Power of Girls’ And ‘Her Time To Shine’ Virtual Summit w/ Tiara LaNiece

Written by on March 23, 2022

It’s ‘Women’s History Month’ and I’m the ‘Pretty Girl’ so what are the odds that I sit down with Founder & CEO Tameka Kee of The Power of Girls to discuss a virtual summit that uplifts, supports and pushes young women to be a better them!

So, now that we have gotten all the ‘Pretty’ out the way (LOL) when can now direct all of our attention to the woman who made this all possible. Tameka Kee is an East Coast Native who dedicated herself to helping the community on a level that she saw was not often highlighted. Her program/organization (as stated) puts the girls first in their duties. We talked about how and why she chose this mission. What ‘Her Time To Shine’ summit is all about and its purpose.

Tameka: Sessions will feature guest panelists such as former WNBA player and CEO of the TY1 Gear apparel line Tamera “Ty” Young and youth activist Mari “Little Miss Flint” Copeny. “Her Time to Shine” will consist of three innovative sessions: Leading by Action, Her Time to Shine, and Her Time to Be Heard.

Take a listen to her journey and be sure to tap in with her and the young queens of the future. *heart eyes*
