Jay-Z just continues to break barriers day in and day out. Today’s nominees for the 2022 Grammy’s have been revealed and once again, Hov’s making history. He officially becomes the most Grammy-nominated artist in history with a total of 83 nominations.

What’s most impressive about this year’s nominations is the fact that Jay hasn’t dropped an album of his own since 2017. This year he’s nominated for guest appearances on Kanye’s “Jail” record as well as “Bath Salts” with Nas and DMX.

Variety points out that Hov’s biggest and most successful Grammy years were 2009, 2010 and 2012, when he took home three each. Then it got confusing in 2017, his most-nominated year, when he dropped the 4:44 album. Ironically, he didn’t win anything that year despite getting 8 nominations.

To earn 83 nominations in his career is nothing short of amazing. Also, let’s be honest – Hov is far from finished.
