Written by on January 14, 2022

Kendrick Lamar is back! Unfortunately, not with new music at the moment.

According to Deadline, K Dot and his pgLANG partner David Free are teaming up with Trey Stone and Matt Parker, the creators of South Park, for an untitled, live-action comedy for Paramount Pictures.

The film will be written by Vernon Chatman. Deadline says, “we will see the past and present come to a head when a young Black man who is interning as a slave re-enactor at a living history museum discovers that his white girlfriend’s ancestors once owned his.” No director has been solidified as of yet.

“On behalf of Paramount Pictures and the wider ViacomCBS family, we look forward to ushering in the first theatrical collaboration from these creative visionaries, and galvanizing audiences worldwide around a powerful storytelling experience,” said Paramount Pictures’ President & CEO, Brian Robbins.
